an AWESOME but RISKY trip- Part 3

Well the consequent day went to some other parts of London. The one below is the Tower Bridge. My sis told me that ppl always thought this is the London Bridge, but actually it's not. Something happened to me on that day , My eyes got infected and were swollen..ouch! so my sis bought me some cream from Boots. Boots is a shop that sells health & beauty products, they also provide pharmacy services, just like Guardians or Watsons in Malaysia.

Is Tower Bridge and not London Bridge*

Then we went to the world's most famous luxury department store called Harrods. It's considered as a high-class shopping place in London. A myriad of branded goods with exorbitant prices can be found here. Only rich people can afford to shop here. So I went to the place where they sell souvenirs and cute stuffs. I was quite amazed by all toys ranging from the superbly big ones to the tiny little cute ones.

A really huge sofa just to place the Harrods bears

so nice to HUG!!

it's so tiny!!

There's a shop named Laduree sells very nice macaroons. If you like desserts, you might fancy this place but the macaroons here are relatively expensive compared to the normal ones...because they are FRESH!! If 'm not mistaken, the macaroons are sent from Paris every day without fail.

The macaroons here are really yummy!!

Inside the Harrods shopping mall, you can see THE DIANA & DODI Memorial . Its kinda sad when i looked at it. Hm.. Besides, Diana's ring is also on display and the diamond is still very shinny.

THE Diana & Dodi Memorial

Along the street, there are many shops to shop at, one of them is the really big TOPSHOP. It has a few floors. My sis told me that one of the workers here is the victim of Inflenza A(H1N1) when she read the news. That sounded really scary.

The gigantic TOPSHOP!!!

And this a must-go place if u wish to take picture with hot and handsome guys..hahaha.
A place where they sell perfumes and trendy as well as sexy wears. The male workers here will take turns to stand in front of the shop to take picture with anyone that goes into the shop. The photo will be given and in a frame. All the workers in that shop are really good-looking,all the guys are handsome and the ladies are very pretty.

Hot Guy!!~so handsome

At night, my sis and I went to watch play. Is The Phantom Of The Opera. The story that we learnt in F2 literature. It was a great show. Everything was well-organized. I love watching it too. Perhaps it was because I already knew the story-line even before watching it.

The Phantom of The Opera - Bravo!!

another play called 39 steps was on too

Something that people will do at night is to watch play. Bsides The Phantom of The Opera which is one of the best plays, there are also Hairspray, Mamma Mia, Wicked, The Lion King, We Will Rock You and etc.. Had a great time there!!

an AWESOME but RISKY trip- Part 2

The next day, we went to Reading. Before this, my sister studied in the University of Reading and now she's in The City Law School, situated in London. So Reading is another familiar place for my sis. The reason we decided to go there was bcoz my sis wanted to visit her ex-boss. She had once worked in that restaurant to spare her leisure time.

The Reading Station~

I thought this looked abit like muffin from far

A place where most of the branded goods can be found at a lower price

The one in red cardigan is my sis's ex-boss's wife. As that day was Fathers' Day, they prepared dinner for us at their restaurant. That was very nice of them. And the food was delicious too~ most probably bcoz I was too hungry. Then, they sent us to another town- OXFORD.

A significant building in Oxford

A bicycle that doesn't belong to me!

hehee~I took this pic!

again i saw flowers with nice colours

tour to colleges seen in Harry Potter's movies

bicyclesssss..

I LOVE OXFORD!!

So this was how i spent my day in Reading and Oxford!!! These places are more peaceful and tranquil as compared to London. I suppose they would be suitable places to study at just that a lil bit too boring if u're looking for a busy city to shop at.

an AWESOME but RISKY trip- Part 1

Sadly to say, I'm currently under self-quarantine as I just came back from uk. And today I actually woke up at 3.00p.m.(so crazy coz partly bcoz i'm suffering from jet lag). 10 days passed really fast, now i'm starting to miss those days. I've gained lots of valuable experiences that i never had before this. Afterall, it was worthwhile going though was risky due to the Influenza A (H1N1) outbreak. In London I stayed at my sis's place. I'd experienced how the lifestyle of student in overseas like. Hmm... pretty difficult coz you have to not only cope well with ur studies but at the same time you have to clean everything by urself. Besides, you'll probably walk quite often in order to get to ur desired destination unless u own a car. For ppl who are well trained and ready for all these, then it won't be a big problem for them to study abroad. I really have to learn to be more independent. So on the 2nd day, my sis brought me to St. James Palace. Early in the morning, the palace was surrounded by a huge crowd. I had to tip-toe to watch what was happening. (haha too short)

the paraDE!!!

so neat!

After that, we went to St. James Park and saw all kinds of colorful flowers. It was so BEAUTIFUL!!! I could smell the fragrance of flowers in the air..Hmm~ Nice!! It's good that I'm not allergic to pollens if not I'll will be suffering. And It looked like the sceneries I once saw in the movie"The Secret Garden" =)

Then we moved on to visit a church nearby..I can't remember the name coz there are
too many churches over there.

Yes I know is not obvious that the building bhind is a church

Then we continued to tour around London and what I saw was:

THE Protesters !!

>The London Eye<

The London Eye is a major feature of London's skyline. It is the world's highest observation wheel and offers passengers spectacular views of over 55 of London's most famous landmarks - all in just 30 minutes.

The crazy side of mine :D

He's acting as Michael Jackson..

There's a person's head in the pot's hole

look cold? (I wore too many layers)

picturesque view

Then we proceeded to the Nationl Gallery. The National Gallery houses one of the greatest collections of European painting in the world. With paintings ranging from 1250 to 1900, the collection includes work by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Gainsborough, Turner, Cezanne and Van Gogh.

A nice fountain

The crowd! wow~

(I know he's abit old..i still paid to take pic wif him..xd)
I'm so evil~

TRANSFORMERS 3>

*so adorable*

That's the China Town in London~

SO those are what I did on the 2nd day of trip...basically was just touring around London and is indeed a nice place to go to. was FUN!!!

Saturday, 20 June 2009

Finally..after the 13 hours of flight , I've reached London...really exhausted and at the same time excited too..Guess what, I went to watch Transformers ... but i was too sleepy and ended up sleeping in the cinema..WHAT A WASTE!! zzz .... but just couldn't open my eyes... my eyelids just kept closing when I was trying really hard to open them... kinda torturing. I really wanted to watch the show but I just couldn't help it. Although it's summer at this time, but still it's really cold over here, especially when the wind blows...I kept shivering..and all the goosebumps appeared.. but I do like thw weather here, just that it takes time to acclimatize to the coldness that i'm not used to experience in M'sia. At night, the city is quite dead as all the shops have closed and only pubs are available for ppl to hang out. The worst of all is the walking part, as in m'sia I don't walk so often but here walking is v common and I walk really slow as compared to them. My sister can walk really fast now so i have to run to catch up with her. My legs are so painful!! I miss my car so badly..xd ;) Will post the photos soon... I want to rest now..really sleepy..zzzZ

HELLO & BYE!!!

Hello to all my dear friends... I'm so sorry that I can't meet up with u guys during this holidays...But I really miss you all... Hopefully we can meet up one of these days ("x-group members" *wink*) I know it's really unsafe to travel at this time but my sister has already arranged everything for me and she is graduating soon. This is really a golden opportunity for me, just that a bit risky. According to my sister, the condition in the place where she stays in is quite okay. And I'll definitely be extremely careful when I go there. HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all my classmates!!! Enjoy!!! Take care everyone!!! ~

Muffins!

MUFFINs MUFFINs MUFFINs....I think they look really adorable... especially when they're small in size... We're having a barbecue on this coming SATURDAY(which is today), and few of us (cali, wanyean, erika & me)decided to make MUFFINS!!! I was so excited because I've not made muffins for quite so time..and really enjoy doing it...bsides we're having holidays now..so it's a perfect time for baking!! So I invited them to come to my house. BUt two of them couldn't find my house as it was their 1st time coming, and I used SHELL petrol station as the landmark when there're actually a few here, haha that's v 'smart' of me. After preparing everthing, we were all ready to BAKE!!! We poured all the ingredients and started mixing. Then we transfered the muffin batter onto the paper containers. Even this step requires some skills, though it may look simple. So we used a transparent plastic bag and cut a tiny hole at the bottom to make it as the piping bag. While doing this, we started to put some of them into the oven so that we won't waste too much time. When we saw the the muffins popping up one by one, we felt so happy =) They look so good and yummy.. And can't wait to taste them. In total we've made approximately 100+ muffins (including the ones we ate and those that can't fit into the tupperware so gave them to erika & wan yean..hehee)Then I took pictures of the muffins in all kinds of arrangements..One word to decribe-NICE!!

The muffin-makers are satisfied!!

~A myriad of MuFFinS~

Steaming-HOT !!!
= )
After that we went to Desa Park City for lunch. And we had lunch at the steamboat restaurant. Then we played at the playground, ate icecream. And one more thing... we bought a watermelon...haha
We gave the task(cutting wetermelon) to the student of the month~ wan yean!!! She'll be bringing the watermelon for our barbecue party!!

a good effort =)
