A memorably sweet 21st :)

I'm officially 21now!!! HAHA after all the pre-birthday celebrations:)

THIS is a significant age in life, as now I am legally permitted to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages, enter a casino, vote for whichever party I want and etc. In a way, it also means I'm now expected to take on more responsibilities and be responsible for whatever I do.

Since this seemed like something worth remembering in my life, I decided to hold a birthday party after some thoughts.

I actually had a hard time choosing the date for my party as my birthday is always so near CNY. Then when I took out the calender, realized that really not much choice left. So in the end I decided to make it on the 21st Jan 2012. Hmmph (21.1.12) is such a nice date!!:)

SO cool right?? I was celebrating my 21st birthday on the 21st and one more thing my house number plate is 21 too:) Everything just seemed so great :)

Then I started inviting friends, at first the people who could attend was very little, because many of them had to go back to their respective hometowns. So my initial plan was to get only 10 friends to come :P

Then one week had passed, not even 10 people could make it :/ But I just continued  inviting people, even though in my mind I thought the chances of them coming would be almost zero.

But guess what?? In the end, those people whom I thought wouldn't come actually turned up for my party. That proved that I was wrong, so conclusion is you will never know until you try:)

From the initially slowly vanishing enthusiasm to becoming more and more anticipated for the big day to come was how I felt at that time.

Honestly, I didn't prepare anything until the day before my party, yes it was that crazy!! And that was also when I felt like I was the luckiest person in the world ever. Because everyone in the family just came forward to help me in almost everything I needed or wanted, not to forget even my maids:)

But due to the time constraint, I didn't expect everything to be perfect, just tried my best to do whatever I could. There was no food catering, because I couldn't tell my dad the number of people attending until the last few days. So everything had to be on our own >> DIY!!

Everyone in my house suddenly became so busy just because of me:) Ops and I didn't pre-order my birthday cake which gave my sister quite a challenging task. She went to the bakery shop on Saturday to order a birthday cake for me. So happened that the baker was going to leave for CNY holidays already, luckily she managed to persuade him:P

All I could do was to decorate my house and nothing much, since I can't really cook:P And I was very happy with the end-product!!! Everything was well-done and nicely arranged, and seeing all my friends arriving on that day although it was still drizzling made me really touched. I just love having many friends around me :D

Here are some pictures of the day:

Nice setting~

With awesomely nice friends~ (obviously more than 10 here, and I made them wear RED!!:D )

gave me a memorably sweet 21st!!:)

Thanks for all the presents, cards, and wishes!!! :DDD

I want to say a big thank you to my dearest family members for all your help!! Thanks to all my friends for coming. Thanks to everyone who wished me. THANK YOU is all I want to say here. And I will treasure this golden period of my life!!:D

New Year with New Hopes !!

2012 has been great so far!! Everything has been pretty good at the moment. I'm now back to uni, attending classes every day. Apparently Sem 3 isn't as relaxing as what I thought initially, I feel rather lethargic every time I finish class -.- Sometimes I nearly slept while driving:/

Yeah I no longer stay in vista already, which I'm actually quite happy. It was relatively pathetic staying there last semester, I even felt really lonely at times. But it was definitely a great exposure and experience! Just that now I think I wanna stay in a cleaner and better place, so where else to go if it's not my cosy home:)

Now, I need to cut down on eating roadside food and stay away from dusty areas, because my skin is getting really sensitive. I'm so reluctant to go out when I look into the mirror. But I can't be hiding forever, I will still have to face it no matter what. I realise that when I get too depressed about it, it will become worse.  I can't be too happy too when I see any improvements, because that's when it starts to get worse again. In fact, it's quite torturing. Just have to stay mentally strong for this!

I would say life isn't so easy after all, but I know I just can't give up. Talking about something happy, I've shifted to my new house. I can finally have my own room, means more privacy:P More things to hide?? LOL Just joking!

As usual, the first month of the year is always filled with joy and hopes. Yeah new year with new hopes, I totally agree!! And someone here is turning 21 this month, sounds old huh?? Hmm but I'm gonna treasure this very significant age in my life by doing something great, perhaps give myself some new challenges, hahahaha... because that's the only way to push myself beyond limits!!

Yesterday I just had my early birthday celebration. It was organized by my very thoughtful college friends. I had a really great time with them, together with good food and good ambience, everything was simply awesome!! :DD

The coolest people I have ever met!!:)

Thanks for the celebration, I really enjoyed it!! :D
Special thanks to Siew Hong for organizing this, Ji-Ann for choosing the restaurant, Choon Lim & Chung Yi for taking nice photos (those uploaded here were taken using CL's camera), Zhen-Howe, Kam Yoong and Bob for helping me to eat the remaining cake!! :D

I will treasure everyday in my life!!

Making my first wish of the year:

I hope everyone around me & I can be HEALTHY and HAPPY always!! :)
