Back from Melb:)

Just came back from Melbourne, and it's such a nice place to go to:)

The 13 days I spent there were merely awesome, every day was filled with activities and we'd eaten almost everything from the food list.

All the friends whom I was with for that 13 days were really fun to be with, I admit that I wasn't very close to them before the trip, but after that, we'd definitely known and understood each other much much better. They burst away my "bubbles" (my barrier :P), but not all lah XP And I've gained one brother and one sister from this trip:D LOL

It's very true to say that 'A friend in need is a friend indeed'. During the trip, we solely depended on each other when facing with any problems. Still remember, it was extremely difficult to walk on the snow coz it was really really slippery. There were also ups and downs during our trip. But all the hard times and also the happy ones that we'd been through together are now memorable.

We took tonnes of photos and were playing like crazy, shopping till all the shops closed down, shivering non-stop when the wind blew, eating all the yummy food, in short, having lots of fun there!:D

There will be more updates about the trip if I'm free enough to do so :D if not, pictures will do the talking! but not NOW :P

I'm starting to miss Melbourne already~ a place which I don't mind going again:)

Hong Kong~

The end of the examinations marked the end of semester 3. Yup it's finally over!!! So now I'm having a break which will last for about one and a half month. Sounds rather long isn't it?? Hmm my holidays this time should be rather interesting since it's almost fully occupied XD I can foresee a rather eventful holidays:)

First task after my exams was to get one of the assignments done- the Port Folio. At first I thought I had plenty of time to finish it, but in the end I needed to accomplish it before the due date, and I spent like one whole night without sleeping just to finish it. Gosh I'd never sacrificed my sleep for things like that, that was an exception.

But it was worthwhile sacrificing my sleep after all, because I got to travel to Hong Kong with my family and neighbours. We had not had a family trip for quite some time, thus it was a great opportunity for us to spend some quality time together.

It was actually my third time going to HK, but it just felt different when going with different bunch of people. I had lots of scrumptious food there and tried many different kinds of meat, which was something that I was really reluctant to try last time XD But actually not that bad =)

Those food that I ate in Hong Kong, not all but some, tasted really good and the food presentation just made them look way too appetizing, even to the extent that I couldn't resist anymore!! :D So the best part of having meals with lots of people is that you get to try a lot more good food.

Dim Sum:P

Had yummy dessert:P

curry fishballs!~
And if you're a shopaholic, you will be crazily happy to go on a shopping spree here. Everywhere you go, there are shops selling things that will surely catch your attention, all that you need is to bring more money $$$$$$ !! Then you can get all you want ~ LOL

I myself am not really a shopaholic, but I still managed to buy quite a number of stuffs here, especially towards the end of the trip.

For me, one of the highlights of this trip would be to meet up with Jeff. It was great seeing him again after so long, he brought me to quite a number of places, even to some of the places that tourists wouldn't visit. That was what he said, HAHA.. Then I also tried many yummy local delicacies :D Thanks for bringing me around!

And I'm not going to elaborate everything in detail, just gonna display a few pictures here.

Taking ferry to Central~

Saw this super huge Apple store @ ifc mall

Visited HKU too ~
Avenue of Stars looking nice at night~
HK at night~

(Did not bring a good camera for this trip, thus those pictures are looking kinda blur :P)

Anyway, I had a great trip !! :)

MALACCA!!

I've been enjoying this holidays very much even though I didn't go anywhere far away from my house:)

Spending some quality time with family and close friends is the best thing to do at the moment.

For the past two weeks, I went to Malacca twice BUT with different group of people. Actually to me, it doesn't really matter where the destination is, what more important is who you're going with.

The first time, I went with my college mates. It was really great seeing most of them (:

Part of BS2 :P
Going for a trip with friends is indeed the best time to bond with each other.

The second time was with some of my close buddies from uni :)

I had lots of fun going out with them although I went to the same place twice in less than one month.

It was also good in a way because whatever I found worth trying or eating in Malacca the 1st time, I would just bring my other friends to the same spots again. Really saved a lot of time!! :)

In fact, Malacca is a place I will go almost every year whenever my family feel like going. Just this year alone, I had been there for about 4 times already I think.

But going Malacca with friends was quite different. And it was also the first time I stayed in Malacca for 3 days and 2 nights.

Many people might think what can you do in Malacca for 3 days 2 nights, must be so BORING!! True enough that there's nothing much in Malacca, but then when you have friends around, anything can be just plain fun!!~

Really like the place which we stayed for the 3 days. It was just like a house for all of us, where we played like crazy, talked about just anything we felt like it, ate whatever food was available, watched whatever was screened on the TV even though that show was super duperrr lousy:P Omg I couldn't believe that we actually watched that movie till the end. XD

We also went to A Famosa, still remember the last time I went there was almost a decade ago. And I think that was a tuition trip XD

This photo marks the end of our Malacca trip~

So here, all I wanna say is I had fun in Malacca with you people.

Bangkok!!~

HEY this is my 1st post of the year 2011!!^^

Yupp I went to Bangkok beginning of this year, another last-minute plan. I realised that I always plan my trip at the very last minute.

But that feels good somehow or another. I booked the ticket one day b4 the departure day. Initially it was a trip for my parents and my dad's business partners.

And my dad suddenly asked whether I wanna follow since I've not been to Bangkok.

I hesitated for a while, then looking at how free I am for almost everyday, I decided to go. That's why I had such a last-minute trip:P

I stayed at Novotel Hotel , which is a very strategic place, very convenient & especially for shopping as there're many shopping malls around here :D

One shopping mall which I went almost everyday when I was there is Siam Paragon. Always ate breakfast at the food court.

I was amazed by the aquariums in the food court.
Always wanted to sit in front of the aquarium but never did.

I'd also been to some of the nice places in Bangkok :D

That's b4 getting into the Floating Market!!

Quite an interesting place to visit~ Floating Market!!

At night, we dined on a relatively modish and luxurious cruise, called the Chao Phraya Princess Cruise IV, looks posh too!!

I had a great time viewing the historical landmarks  along the Chao Phraya River and glancing at the beautiful night sceneries with a romantic atmosphere on the dinner cruise was simply AWESOME!! Beyond words could describe if u're going with your loved ones :D

The buffet dinner was merely so-so, and I didn't have much expectations on the food because food that is prepared in great abundance usually won't taste very nice. But at least was edible :P

Great experience !!

There's this very nice Thai restaurant too, called The Orient Restaurant.
( Address : Sukhumvit Soi 49, Bangkok 10110, Thailand )

Here's an array of yummylicious thai food :) slurrrpssss~

Place to buy cheap clothings?? Like seriously very very cheap, there's one which I went to.

felt like opening an online boutique after coming to this place :P

I had a really great time in Bangkok for all the 5 days, didn't expect myself to enjoy this much. No regrets going. Not only did I have lots of fun, I also got to spend some quality time with my dear parents. After my uni starts, I don't think I'll be that free anymore !! ~

Actually to have a fun trip, you don't have to go to somewhere that costs you a fortune. Just by going with people you love, people you enjoy to be with, wherever you go, it's definitely going to be fun regardless of what you do = )

What a LOVELY city >> T A I P E I

I've been wanting to go on a vacation so badly, after staying at home for so long. And I really can't stand boredom anymore!!

I always asked my family: " hmm.. should we go here, should we go there..." but they were all too busy to entertain me.

Finally finally...HAHAHA :D my elder sis started her one-month break. Omg I was sooo happy.. even happier than her, for I knew we could plan to go somewhere together !!  YIPPEEeee !!!

After thinking twice, we decided to go to TAIWAN !!

We'd planned a free & easy trip, coz more FREEDOM...yeah!! So not going to explore too many places, just Taipei alone will do.

Heard that Taipei is a great place to go on a shopping spree, I couldn't wait to go ~ But too bad it's almost the winter season, if not I could have bought more clothes xd

Before going to Taipei, I had no inkling at all how's that city is like. But after spending a few days there, surprisingly I started to like this place. That's probably because it's so much better than what I expected.

Overall I think . . . .

Taipei is quite safe.
Talking about safety wise, KL can never beat Taipei if the current situation were to persist. When I was in Taipei, I didn't have to worry that my bag will be snatched or beware of the pickpocket in a paranoid manner. That's one thing I like. Because if you were to feel insecure when traveling, you won't be able to enjoy the trip to the fullest.

Most of the toilets in Taipei are quite clean.
e.g. When I was in the toilet, there was only one thread from my sis's dress that fell on the floor, then the cleaner immediately came and picked it up, then threw in the dustbin. And yes it's to that extent!! Super efficient!! A bit too much right but I think is actually GOOD!! Toilet cleaners here should learn from them but in an appropriate way :)

The Taiwanese I met in Taipei were quite nice.
Somehow I find them quite friendly and the way they speak is pretty polite. Hmm..maybe because we are tourists, that's why they treat us differently. But who cares? As long as they made me feel good; and they really did!! One of the salesgirls even drove all the way to our hotel to send the products we bought coz we thought it was too heavy to carry it all day long. I just like the highly-customised services they provide :)

*If you learned thinking skills, you'll find out that I've made some mistakes when drawing the conclusions above, that is to take some specific examples to draw a general conclusion... haha :)

Wanna trigger all your 5 senses in Taipei??

  • What to SEE : Taipei 101 (must-see !!!)
  • What to SMELL : the stinky taufu... blek :< (must-smell ^^)
  • What to LISTEN : Mandarin pop songs
  • What to EAT/ DRINK :  oyster omelette / bubble tea or papaya milk shake etc.
  • What to FEEL : the crowd.. awesome~

It was a great trip !
~ even though an impromptu one :p

What A BUSY month I have~

This month has been rather busy. I actually feel happy when I'm busy (:

Starting of this month, on the 1st of july, I had my interview at imu. Until now I still haven't gotten my offer letter. So I seriously have no idea whether they will accept me :(

Then, NEXT... was our long-awaited class trip which had finally been realized, after so many changes being made.

From our very initial plan to club med, changed to Pulau Redang, then followed by Pulau Langkawi, and in the end we had decided to go to somewhere nearer and more affordable ~ Port Dickson!!!

So this is BS2 second class trip, it was AWESOME but it would be even better if another 50% of our classmates could make it :)

And we stayed at the nicest & coolest hotel in PD - Avillion Hotel. I really like this place!! With its breathtaking sceneries, it just made me feel good to be there :D Very relaxing and peaceful ~

                            Such a beautiful sandy beach

Those are the water-chalets- we stayed there!!

         pey tsyr was my roommate:)

We didn't waste even a single second in PD. From morning till night, we were fully occupied with all sorts of activities. On the 1st day, after we checked in we walked around and started planning what we could do in this hotel.

Our very first outdoor activity was - SOCCER. And since there were 10 of us, so each team had 5 members. I had never played this b4 and it's even harder when we had to play it on the sandy beach.

I would say that was a good experience.. hahaha one of my team members even got muscle cramps, and that was funny:D I didn't help him, but what I did was to quickly take out my camera and snap a pic. hehe I'm so evil XD

pt even managed to pose at this v crucial moment.. haha :D

That was the only activity on that dayyy. Then after bathing, we went to search for a seafood restaurant named "Seaview". Had a scrumptious meal there, the funny part was when mr. nxj ate the remaining part of the fish w/o asking if any1 wants it. So he just placed the whole fish on his plate and started eating.

On the 2nd day, there were more activities going on~ In the morning, few of us decided to go for a morning jog. But in the end we went to the gym room instead.

Then, we played volleyball. It was actually drizzling but we didn't care. And I sucked at this game because I was too scared that the ball would hit me.

And in the end it hit me full in the face. Ouch, the pain was intense but only lasted for a few seconds. My face was covered with sand. Hehee I was literally sandy ^^ After that, I still continued playing and I became more alert this time. I learnt from my mistakes :)

Then in the afternoon, when it was scorching hot, we played in the swimming pool. It was as if we wanted to get sun-burnt so badly that we chose to play at this hour..xd So we played water-polo which is of our own version. The ball we used was 1,000 times smaller than the actual size. Again we were divided into 2 teams. This was really fun!!!!

Then our lunch was PIZZAS at Pizza Hut. Apparently, the Pizza Hut here got some awards, I was wondering what it was as there were flies buzzing around. Perhaps the "Cleanest Pizza Hut".

Then whenever we were free, there would be some gambling and chit-cat sessions just as usual. Some of them were fishing, taking photos using dslr, etc.. I myself enjoyed walking around the hotel the most :)

Then in the evening, we played tennis~ yea another sports which I'm lousy at. I think I'm better at searching for missing balls :D than to actually play it. Coz I injured my hand while I was playing.

The next day my right hand was trembling when I held something. Haizz...It's time to take up more sports, I know I seriously need that, coz I'm super unfit for all these :p I don't mind getting injuries if I can master it :)

On both nights, we had our dinner at Seaview, coz we couldn't find any other better places to go.

THE only bad thing is we couldn't make too much noise in the hotel when it's late in the night. A security guard actually came over to complain when everyone got too excited and started talking too loudly.

After all, it was a great trip and it was really fun. At least I've done something which I've not done , played or experienced before. Good experience!!

Still remember, last time when I blogged about my trip to pd, I actually hoped that I could one day go there with my friends. And yea unexpectedly it did happen :)

When I came home that day, I was supposed to help out for the semi-finals rehearsal (this is for a beauty pageant event which I'm involved) So I am one of the crew members. okay I was reallyyyy tired that night. And they could only have their rehearsal session after pavilion closed. So I stayed up till almost 2a.m. And I almost fainted coz I was really too exhausted.

*  *  *  *  *  *

The next night I went to KBU as it was BUD4's malam bakat!!! Had a great time there, met many friends and my sister did perform well that night~  I was still very tired that night but getting to see all my dear friends made me feel so excited !! :D

We were glad to see each other there!!!~

*   *   *   *   *

On 19th of July, it's the semi-finals for 22 contestants. Out of the 22 contestants, only 12 would be selected. The event started at 2p.m. but I had to be there at 8a.m. for another rehearsal, that's why couldn't make it to jfh. Well, it was held at the concourse area of Pavilion, sponsored mainly by Da Vinci.

                              these are the finalists

helping her to untie the ribbon

After that, there was another event at Tropicana City Mall. And that was how I spent the whole day!

                        ~The CREW !!!

After this, I'll be free for around one week !! :) SO I'm going to see my friends as often as possible as most of them are still having holidays now!!~

I'm BACKKKK!!~

Finally i've come back from pangkor island. It was a marvellous trip and I had lots of fun there. Besides, I've also tried many things which I never experienced before this...

It was really fun especially when you're doing something enjoyable with a bunch of friends...

~NICE~

It was scorching hot in pangkor island so I had to keep applying sunblock, so scared that I would get sunburnt...

Then we went snorkeling on the 2nd day, actually I was pondering whether I should go for snorkeling, the reason being I can swim but definitely not a good swimmer
(quite lousy in fact coz swimming has nvr become my forte) so I was kinda worried, but after all it was really a good experience.. worth trying if possible~ and banana boat was so coOL !!

still surviving even with my lousy swimming skills..xd

on THE SUNSET CRUISE....
It was another valuable experience as I got to witness sunset on a cruise with most of my classmates and friends. Such a picturesque view which I really enjoyed watching.. And at this very crucial moment, suddenly my camera malfunctioned.. damn sad ):

The giRLS~

~my close buddies

Here I would like to thank Erika for helping me when I was urgently looking for washrooms.. haha and Calista, Wan Yean & Sok Nee also helped me to carry my luggage.. thanks alot!!! I know I'm damn mafan...

This trip has indeed given us a chance to know each other better... and also let us sit back and relax before the next semester commences... I think our class rep has done a really great job to come out with this idea and everything was well-planned.. I also feel really sorry if I did anything that might have offended anyone during the trip.. I really didn't mean to do it..SORRY!

If there's any other class trips in the future, I would like to join again (:

On the way back, we saw ppl standing along the street
There was ACTUALLY a "GAY AND LESBIAN PRIDE PARADE"
We were rather curious of how it was going to be like so we joined in the crowd, got ready our cameras and waited impatiently as it was almost time to leave. And after a while...musics were on and the parade had finally started. I don't think we can see this in Malaysia..
